Job Title: Assistant Athletic Trainer

Range : $40,000- $45,000 based on experience
Position Summary: This position incorporates all aspects of the athletic training profession. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for 20 intercollegiate teams. General duties include but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, and HIPPA laws, prevention, care and rehabilitation for all student athletes. This is an 10 month renewable position.
General Purpose: To prevent, care and rehabilitate student athletes in a way that will promote and demonstrate the mission and goals of Clarkson University.
Remote Workdays: This is a full time on Campus position with zero remote workdays.

Education:
Minimal Qualifications: Master's Degree and NATABOC certified and certified to work in the USA and New York State. Current certification in CPR and First Aid required. Ability to relate effectively to student athletes, coaches and other health care professionals, and the University community
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years collegiate experience
Experience:
Minimal Experience: 1-3 years of collegiate athletic training experience. Demonstrated commitment to furthering the goals and objectives of both, the University and Athletics Department. Ability to successfully communicate with student-athletes and coaching staff. Understanding of the role of the student-athlete in a competitive academic/athletic environment and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of constituency groups. Knowledge of NCAA Division I and III rules and regulations.
Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of collegiate athletic training
